LL: S2, Ep 19: Overcoming PMS

This is a conversation I’ve had more times then I can count. It goes like this...

Me: “Hey there! How are your goals going?!"

Client: “Oh pretty good. I was rocking it and doing awesome until last week."

Me: “What happened last week?"

Client: “I started my period and my PMS weighed me down big time.”

Sound like something you experience too? You aren’t alone. With almost all of my clients, there’s been a time when they’ve told me that PMS has stopped them for rocking life.

After a client tells me they had PMS, there’s nothing more for us to talk about. It’s an assumed notion that they were just trying to get through the week without losing their shit on someone, bleeding all over the place and eating everything in site.

PMS SUCKS! Trust me, I know first hand. My period set me back SOOO much in my 20s. I felt like every month my period would cause me to do things I didn’t want to do. I would do things like blow up at people I loved, sit around depressed or anxious, and miss out on opportunities because I felt like crap or just wanted to be alone.

It was so frustrating and made me feel so resentful to have PMS as a constant setback.

I’ve spent the past few years without a period and PMS (details about how I did this is on the episode) and now that I’m back in the swing of things, I’m remembering what it’s like to have this familiar not so fun friend again.

This time though, my PMS is WAY different. While it’s still not my favorite thing in the world, it’s negative impact has been lessened SO much.

The way I’ve lessened my PMS is through mindset work! I’ve found that by doing a few things, you can dramatically diminish the impact PMS has on you every month. It’s incredible!

I’ve seen and felt this lessened PMS impact in my own life and see it in my client’s lives too! (It’s amazing to feel and witness this change!)

By learning these mindset tweaks, you too can start to diminish one of the biggest blocks we as women face!! (Wohoo!!!)
