LLP#066 - Truth or Consequences : Waking Up from the American Dream Part 2
Does it ever feel to you like Life’s some kind of cruel game whose rules are unknown, unclear and unfair? Like some kind of Battle Royale a la Squid Games in which we are all somehow pitted against one another striving for our individual survival at the expense of everyone else’s? Well, that is somehow weaved into the narrative that we consciously or unconsciously choose to tell ourselves, in this game of Truth or Consequences. And seeing where we are and where we are headed, it seems that despite Truth being at the core of many of our beliefs and pillars of our society (Justice, Science, Religion, etc), it appears we haven’t been so good at the game and are facing dire Consequences… And yet, if we clearly lay out the map of how things are, we can see that it may not be an entirely inescapable fate, and that there is hope yet to achieve the true potential of humanity’s unique abilities. This is what we discuss today in this Part 2 of our episode on the shift of our World’s narratives. Have a listen.
This is Reality Check, where we discuss important topics and concepts that form the foundation of our lives, and yet need to be contemplated so that perspectives may open the way to fresh new takes and hopefully help us deal with that nagging feeling of being stuck. Facts matter for sure, but equally or even more importantly, we want to put all options on the table and relate openly about what we may have missed as a result of our unescapable biases and other horse blinders. This is a place where we revisit what we thought we understood or knew, in order to spark new growth.
