Chapter 14 is entitled, "Circumcision," but it's not what you think. Once again, we get out our Neville decoder rings to learn that he's using the concept metaphorically, and once again he is creating allusions that are at odds with the teachings of traditional Christianity and Judaism, but which make absolute sense when compared to the other teachings of Neville.
