Mrs. Wentworth, an old lady in rural England, is threatened by a killer…or is she? On the south westerly tip of England, deep in the wild moors of Devon lies the little village of Stone Cross. Invalided Mrs. Wentworth is one of the few residents of this lonely place. She has few if any friends. Her neurotic ways, snappy tongue and commanding attitude have turned them all away. She has few visitors, the vicar’s wife occasionally and Dr Brooks more often. He’s not really a doctor, he’s a masseur and is in the living room of the cottage now, giving Mrs. Wentworth one of her treatments. It’s not going too well though. The unseasonable weather seems to have upset Mrs. Wentworth…
