And its then that I had one of those “Ah Ha” moments. I'll head over to my local Bankruptcies Courts here in Eastern Pennsylvania, and see if they're even open.

And just as I suspected they're not hearing cases. Yes, their offices are open, but only be telephone, no checks or documents are being received at their counter. And no cases are being heard. You see the Bankruptcies Courts are not considered to be “life saving.” And so, by the directive of our Governor are closed.

So while the small business employees may file for unemployment, the businesses themselves are caught in limbo. Caught between their creditors and the Courts. Unable to file for bankruptcy. And for the rest of us, we won't see this part of this economic tragedy for many weeks, until those courts re-open.
