The Washington Commanders are headed to London, but Jayden Daniels is officially OUT and Marcus Mariota will make his second straight start as Washington faces the Indianapolis Colts Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Washington Commanders finally broke through, and they did it against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Washington beat the Seattle Seahawks 33-31 in its home opener, snapping Seattle’s 12-game winning streak and improving to 1-2. With Jayden Daniels sidelined by his elbow injury, Marcus Mariota stepped in and delivered one of Washington’s biggest performances of the young season.

On today’s Commanders Squad, Nick Ashooh, former Washington WR Anthony Armstrong and David Harrison break down everything that went RIGHT for the Commanders.

Marcus Mariota finished 19-of-31 for 183 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Terry McLaurin caught six passes for 77 yards and his first touchdown of the season, while Treylon Burks and Rachaad White also caught touchdown passes.

But the biggest change may have come from the defense.

Washington forced three Seattle turnovers, with rookie Kain Medrano delivering the biggest play of the afternoon on a 50-yard pick-six. Sonny Styles was involved in two takeaways, and the Commanders held Seattle to just 44 rushing yards. The Washington Commanders are 0-2, Jayden Daniels is out with another dislocated left elbow, and the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are coming to Washington for the home opener.

On today’s Commanders Squad, Nick Ashooh, Anthony Armstrong and David Harrison break down everything we know about Daniels’ injury, what it means for his return timeline and how Washington moves forward with Marcus Mariota at quarterback.

Daniels suffered the injury on the final play of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys after stumbling and trying to brace himself with his left arm. It’s the same elbow he injured last season. Initial X-rays showed no fracture, but Daniels has been meeting with specialists and Dan Quinn has not given a timetable for his return.

Now the Commanders have to figure out how to save their season without QB1.
