ABOUT THE DISCUSSION
Dave and Nick describe their own equipment and experiences. The Lake Michigan incident discussion includes unverified reports and theories; it does not establish a cause of death. Our condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Michael Edwin Jones. This conversation and its illustrative calculations are not dive training or a dive plan.

John Chatterton shares his firsthand memories of September 11, 2001, near the World Trade Center in Episode 2 of the Loco Profundo Podcast. The commercial diving supervisor joins Dave and Nick Schloemer to discuss that morning, helping people evacuate along the Manhattan waterfront, and returning to the worksite afterward.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the people who were lost, the first responders, and the families whose lives were changed forever. This personal conversation includes painful memories, friendship, and moments of laughter between divers looking back together.

Welcome to the first episode of Loco Profundo.
In our origin story, brothers Dave and Nick sit down to talk about how a shared love of scuba diving turned into something much bigger—and how two brothers living hundreds of miles apart somehow ended up building Loco Profundo.
We get into our early days of diving, the experiences and people that pulled us deeper into the sport, the progression toward technical diving, and some of the adventures, mistakes, questionable decisions, and laughs that happened along the way.
This first episode is less about teaching scuba and more about answering one question:
What the hell is Loco Profundo?
Turns out, we're still figuring that out.
Come along for the ride.
