Deputies arrested a Logan man Tuesday night after witnesses reported a vehicle collision and an assault involving a juvenile inside the pool area at Crystal Hot Springs. The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Derek John Openshaw, of Logan. A probable-cause statement filed in 1st District Court said the incident began at about 8:09 p.m. when callers reported “a vehicle collid[ ing] with another vehicle” in the parking lot of the resort.
