Much of our culture in America seems to be apathetic toward faith unless that faith is Christianity. It seems there’s a special place of disdain for followers of Jesus that’s only grown over the last thirty years regardless of what’s happening in the country at large. Is it a shock that after forcing God out we reap the ”blessings” (also known as consequences) of choosing to reject God? Just because the choice can be made doesn’t mean it’s a good choice.

Closing out our time examining what and how Jesus saw, we explore His heart when He saw Jerusalem, the capital of His chosen people. Does our heart resemble Christ’s? Are we moved to intercession for those who are rejecting the good news or simply raging against them? Jesus asks this question of His disciples and the blind man who come to Him in Mark 10. What we may fail to consider in the moment is that what we ask for and the way we ask say more about our relationship with God than we may care to admit. What do we really want? Is it what God wants?
