speaking anything ya (refrain) by Logue

I created this piece remembering an article Ryuichi Sakamoto contributed to a stereogram book (C.G.ステレオグラム: 驚異の3D) when I was in elementary school, discussing stereoscopic sound in the context of polyphony. I placed it at the end as an homage to Hideki Matsutake's "Closing world for future" from the YMO remix album "YMO-REMIXES TECHNOPOLIS 2000-00".

Come to think of it, I once created and performed an MML (Master Music Line) piece for a five-person ensemble in Mabinogi.

I used a TB-303 for the cello's bass, placed gamelan instruments on both the left and right edges of the melody, and used a strawberry flute for the vocals. For the accompaniment, I used an FM Grand piano, and as an accent, I brought in FM Tublers with ping-pong delay to create a sound exchange from the left and right. The production time was only five hours.

Since the album title is BGM , I added "Cue," a song from YMO's album of the same name, as the last track. However, that didn't balance well, so I quickly created a cover of "Music Plan". I recreated the original music's vocal vocoder by lowering the pitch of Teto Kasane's voice and using extreme parameters. As a result, it successfully became a 'chimera' album of YMO's BGM.

Back in 2007, Acid Music Studio was popular, so I used it to create a remix of the Final Fantasy Prelude, switching from my previous Yamaha SOL2. I believe I combined the Celtic album from FF4 and the Prelude from FF10 with a familiar Amen Break.

Perhaps the method of creating music by arranging audio files didn't suit me, as this turned out to be the first and last song I ever made using Acid Music Studio.

I composed this because I wanted to try making lo-fi hip-hop. The concept was to create a song that you could listen to over and over. I drew inspiration from DJ Nozawa and Shakatak when creating this music. But the acid bass is original.

For some reason, Teto Kasane's chorus is in the form of a triad, but it's not clear which part has the melody (lol).

Incidentally, only the A section is used on my portfolio website (v.logue.dev/).

This is the main track on the album. I created this song with the concept of a non-assertive song that you can listen to over and over. Well, my initial idea was to make a song that a YouTuber might use as background music. It often happens when I'm making music, but even if I intend to make something hip-hop, when I listen to the finished product carefully, it feels like it has turned out to be fusion.

Teto Kasane is merely being used as a practice dummy.

However, the song she's being made to sing is "Cue," a signal announcing a transformation of the world.

The premise is that the song was composed by sampling a saxophone solo from a poorly preserved cassette tape lying around the house, and then repeatedly cutting and pasting the sample.

Originally I was making it with the intention of playing club jazz. It's kind of fusion.
