TODAYL Lois Smith, American actress. Smith was born on November 3, 1930 in Topeka, Kansas, USA as Lois Arlene Humbert. She is an actress, whose film career began in 1955, alongside her equally groundbreaking runs on television and broadway. Through the 80's and 90's, she became know for her supporting roles in Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) and How To Make An American Quilt (1995). Most recently, she is known for her roles in Minority Report (2002), Twister (1996) and The Nice Guys (2016). She was previously married to Wesley Dale Smith.
