Prof Harold Thimbleby is an internationally respected computer scientist who campaigns for improving healthcare computing, as thousands of people are harmed by poor computers every year. Harold is a popular speaker who has given over 550 invited talks in 30 different countries. He is an Honorary Fellow of the RCP, an advocate for the Clinical Human Factors Group, and on the World Health Organisation’s global patient safety network. His research team won the 2014 GE Healthcare Award for Outstanding Impact in Healthcare. His book Press On won several international prizes.
