In the Spring 2024 semester, WMUA News reporter Dan Distefano reported on the prevalence of loneliness – a concern that has garnered the attention of the US Surgeon General. He met with senior Public Health majors and the UMass Title IX Training Specialist to discuss the societal contributors to loneliness and what changes can be made to mitigate feelings of loneliness.
