Surf Report - Portland Oregon

Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 02-13-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, wave riders and coastal explorers! Our Pacific Northwest coastal forecast is looking wild and dynamic for the next couple days.

Today's setting is postcard perfect with mostly sunny skies and gentle east winds hovering around 9 to 11 miles per hour. Surf heights are cruising at a solid 5 to 7 feet with southwest and west offshore swells rolling in at a smooth 15 seconds. Temperatures will hover around a crisp 45 degrees - perfect for layering up and catching some waves.

But hold onto your boards because Thursday is bringing some serious oceanic drama! Expect surf heights ramping up to 6 to 9 feet and potentially reaching 10 feet near Lincoln City. Those west swells are packing a punch with 5 to 6 foot faces and slightly shorter periods.

Weather transitions from sunny serenity to a moody cloudy landscape with rain moving in. Winds will shift southeast and intensify to 16 to 23 miles per hour. Temperatures drop slightly to around 40 to 45 degrees.

Critical safety reminder: These waters are not for the faint of heart. Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are serious business. Waves can surprise you faster than a pelican diving for fish. Stay alert, respect the ocean's power, and never turn your back on these magnificent waters.

Sunrise kicks off around 7:20 AM with sunset painting the sky by 5:40 PM. Check your gear, trust your skills, and may the waves be ever in your favor!

Stay stoked and stay safe out there, coastal warriors!
