Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 03-07-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, coastal adventurers! Get ready for an epic day along the Pacific Northwest shoreline. Today's looking like a stunner with mostly sunny skies and some serious wave action brewing.

Surfers and beach lovers are in for a treat with massive swells ranging 8 to 12 feet along the Oregon coast. Long Beach, Washington and Seaside are expecting west and northwest swells around 8 to 9 feet with epic 13-second periods - that means smooth, powerful waves perfect for catching some serious rides.

Temperatures will hover around a crisp 50 degrees, so wetsuit up and be prepared. Winds will start light in the morning with northerly and northwesterly breezes around 5 to 10 miles per hour, gradually picking up throughout the day.

Tide hunters take note: Morning high tides are hitting impressive levels between 8.7 and 9.4 feet, with low tides dipping down to just half a foot around midday. The evening high tide will provide another excellent opportunity for coastal exploration.

But listen up, beach warriors - these waters demand respect. Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are no joke. Those surprise waves can catch even experienced ocean lovers off guard. Stay alert, keep your distance from the water's edge, and never turn your back on the ocean.

Friday's forecast looks slightly mellower with surf heights dropping to 6 to 9 feet and increasing cloud cover. Winds will shift southwest and remain gentle.

Sunrise comes at 6:41 AM, giving early risers a stunning Pacific Northwest morning. Sunset at 6:12 PM promises an equally breathtaking close to an awesome coastal day.

Stay safe, stay stoked, and enjoy the magnificent Oregon and Washington coastline!
