Surf Report - Portland Oregon

Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 03-10-2025

Listen Later

Hey surf fam! Buckle up for a wild ride along the Pacific Northwest coast this weekend. Our surf report is bringing some serious wave action that'll make even seasoned surfers take notice.

Today's looking like a monster swell with massive 14 to 18-foot waves hammering the coastline from Long Beach, Washington down to Lincoln City, Oregon. We're talking some seriously intense offshore conditions with west and northwest swells rolling in at a thunderous 10 to 11 feet and powerful 15-second intervals. Mother Nature is definitely flexing her maritime muscles today.

Expect cloudy skies with rain dancing across the horizon and winds whipping from the southwest between 20 to 26 miles per hour. Temperatures will hover around a chilly 50 degrees - definitely wetsuit weather for anyone brave enough to paddle out.

But here's the critical safety warning: these aren't your average waves. We're dealing with potential sneaker waves that can catch you completely off guard and rip currents strong enough to make even experienced ocean lovers think twice. Cold water and unexpected wave patterns mean you need to stay absolutely alert.

By Monday, things calm down slightly with surf heights dropping to 8 to 11 feet. The offshore swells will mellow out to about 8 feet at 13-second intervals, and winds will significantly decrease. Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of light showers will replace today's more aggressive conditions.

Bottom line: Respect the ocean, watch those waves carefully, and remember - nature always wins. Stay safe out there, wave riders!
