Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 03-30-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers, and we've got the lowdown on what Mother Nature's cooking up for our coastal playground this weekend!

Let's start with the wave action. We're looking at some serious swells today - 7 to 10 feet of pure oceanic power rolling in from the west at a solid 8 feet with a 10-second interval. Translation? Epic surfing conditions for the experienced riders out there. But don't get too confident - these waves are bringing some serious attitude.

Temperatures are hovering around a crisp 50 degrees, so grab that wetsuit and some layers. The wind's going to be playing nice today, drifting in from the southwest at a mild 8-9 miles per hour. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a sprinkle of potential showers to keep things interesting.

Tide-wise, we're seeing some dramatic shifts. Early morning brings a high tide of 9.6 feet, with a low dipping to -0.1 feet. Another high tide rolls in around 1:53 PM, peaking at 9.3 feet.

Sunday's forecast is looking a bit mellower. Waves will calm down to 4-6 feet, with winds shifting to the southeast and picking up to 10-14 miles per hour. Temperatures will nudge up to a more comfortable 55-60 degrees, but expect more persistent showers.

Now, here's the serious part - this coast is no joke. Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are real dangers. Those surprise waves can catch even seasoned beach-goers off guard. Stay alert, keep your distance from the water's edge, and never turn your back on the ocean.

Sunrise is around 6:59 AM, sunset at 7:42 PM - plenty of daylight to enjoy the coastal magic. But remember, respect the ocean, and it might just respect you back.

Stay safe, stay stoked!
