Surf Report - Portland Oregon

Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 04-11-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, wave riders and coastal adventurers! We're tracking some serious ocean action along the Pacific Northwest coast today.

Long Beach, Washington is looking at a gnarly surf scene with 5 to 7 foot waves today, ramping up to 7 to 10 feet tomorrow. Expect southwest swells rolling in at 6 feet and a gusty southwest wind blasting at 23 miles per hour. The weather's mostly cloudy with rain, so grab your waterproof gear and keep those spirits high.

Oregon's coastal zones are serving up even more intense wave action. Seaside and Cannon Beach will see 7 to 10 foot surf with southwest swells pushing 9 feet. Manzanita and Rockaway Beach are scoring an epic 8 to 11 foot wave height with similar southwest swells.

Temperature wise, we're looking at a chilly 55 to 60 degrees today, cooling down to around 50 tomorrow. Winds will shift from southerly to northwest, mellowing out considerably.

Critical safety alert: Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are real threats. Sneaker waves can surge dramatically further up the shore than expected, catching beach goers off guard. Rip currents create powerful narrow channels of fast-moving water.

Tides will be dramatic today, ranging from low points around 1 foot to high points near 8.5 feet. Sunrise happens around 6:35-6:38 AM, with sunset dropping between 7:56-7:59 PM.

Bottom line: Respect the ocean, stay alert, and enjoy the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest coastline. Surf's calling!
