Listen Later

Surf's up, coastal adventurers! Brace yourselves for a dynamic weekend along the Pacific Northwest shoreline. Today kicks off with a solid 5 to 7-foot surf rolling in from the northwest, bringing 4-foot swells at a smooth 14-second interval.

Expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around a crisp 55 to 60 degrees. Winds will start gentle in the morning, barely whispering at 2 to 4 miles per hour, but gradually picking up to a more spirited 8 to 9 miles per hour from the north.

High tides are looking impressive, climbing to around 8.2 to 8.5 feet early morning, with a low tide dipping to just 0.2 to 0.3 feet by mid-morning. The day will serve up two more tide changes, so plan your beach adventures accordingly.

Saturday brings more excitement with surf heights ramping up to 5 to 9 feet. The swell will shift slightly, with northwest waves hitting 6 to 7 feet at 9 seconds, and a secondary swell around 2 feet. Temperatures will cool down a bit, ranging from 50 to 55 degrees.

Winds will kick into high gear, blowing northwest at a robust 16 to 21 miles per hour. Clouds will increase, turning mostly cloudy and adding some dramatic maritime atmosphere.

CRITICAL WARNING: Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are real dangers here. These unexpected waves can surge far beyond normal patterns, catching even experienced beachgoers off guard. Stay alert, keep a safe distance from the water, and never turn your back on the ocean.

Sunrise comes early around 6:20 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 8:07 to 8:10 PM. Catch those golden hours, but always respect the ocean's power.

Stay safe, stay stoked!
