Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 05-13-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, coast watchers! Hold onto your hoodies because the Pacific Northwest is serving up some serious wave action today.

Long Beach and Seaside are looking at a 5 to 7 foot surf zone with southwest swells rolling in at a smooth 10 seconds. Temperatures are keeping it cool around 55 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and a sprinkle of potential showers. Winds will start gentle and then kick up from southeast to south at about 4 to 8 miles per hour.

For our adventurous friends near Manzanita and Rockaway Beach, things get a bit more exciting with 6 to 9 foot waves and a slight chance of thunderstorms adding some electric potential to your day. West swells are cruising at 11 seconds which means some seriously sweet riding conditions.

Tuesday is promising an epic upgrade with surf heights jumping to 8 to 11 feet across the entire coastline. Northwest swells will be pumping at 11 seconds with mostly cloudy conditions and temperatures warming slightly to the upper 50s.

But wait beach lovers - a critical safety reminder. These waters aren't playing around. Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are real threats. Those deceptive waves can surge way further than you expect, so keep your eyes locked on the ocean and stay vigilant.

Sunrise kicks off around 5:45 to 5:51 AM with sunset painting the sky between 8:34 and 8:40 PM. Tides will be dancing between negative feet and high peaks around 8.7 feet.

Stay smart. Stay safe. And enjoy those magnificent Pacific Northwest waves!
