Surf Report - Portland Oregon

Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 05-29-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, wave riders and coastal adventurers! The Pacific Northwest is serving up some seriously exciting ocean conditions today and tomorrow.

Long Beach and the Washington coast are looking at solid 5 to 8 foot surf today with a west swell rolling in at 6 feet and 10 seconds. Expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures climbing to a crisp 60 to 65 degrees with southwest winds around 10 miles per hour. As the day progresses, those winds will shift northwest and bump the surf up to 6 to 9 feet tomorrow with potentially showery conditions.

Oregon's coastline is matching that energy with similar surf forecasts. From Seaside to Cannon Beach, expect 5 to 8 foot waves today with northwest swells keeping things interesting. Temperatures will hover around 60 degrees with gentle southwest breezes.

Moving south to Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, and Pacific City, the surf drops slightly to 5 to 7 feet but still promises an epic ride. Lincoln City follows a similar pattern with smooth 5 to 7 foot waves and light southwest winds.

But here's the critical safety note - these waters demand respect. Cold temperatures, unpredictable sneaker waves, and powerful rip currents are constant risks. Sneaker waves can surge much further onto the beach than expected, catching even experienced beachgoers off guard.

For tomorrow, expect increasing cloud cover and potential showers across all regions. Surf heights will bump up slightly to 6 to 9 feet with slightly longer period swells.

Stay alert, respect the ocean, and catch some epic waves - carefully!
