The Oregon and Washington coastline is serving up some serious wave action this weekend. Buckle up for some gnarly conditions that demand your respect and attention.

Today's looking cloudy with rain rolling in from the west. Long Beach, Washington can expect surf heights between 6 to 9 feet with a west swell running around 7 feet at 9 seconds. Winds will be howling from the northwest at 16 miles per hour, keeping things crisp and challenging.

Seaside and Cannon Beach are looking at even more impressive surf - 7 to 10 foot waves with a northwest swell of 8 feet. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms, so keep your weather radar tuned. Temperatures will hover around a cool 55 degrees.

Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, and Pacific City are matching those epic conditions with 7 to 10 foot surf and west swells around 8 feet. Expect cloudy skies with showers and rain, temperatures ranging from 55 to 60 degrees.

Lincoln City rounds out our coastal report with 6 to 9 foot waves and a northwest swell of 7 feet. Cloudy skies with likely showers will accompany your surf session.

Pro tip from the coastal safety team: Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are serious business. These waves can surprise even experienced surfers. Stay alert, watch the water, and respect the ocean's power.

Sunday looks slightly mellower with surf heights dropping to 5 to 8 feet and winds calming down. Temperatures will bump up slightly, making for a more relaxed coastal experience.
