Listen Later

Surf's up, coastal adventurers! The Pacific Northwest coastline is brewing some serious wave action today. We're looking at a gnarly surf zone with heights ranging from 5 to 10 feet - perfect for experienced riders but definitely not for the faint of heart.

Long Beach and Seaside are serving up northwest swells around 6 to 7 feet at 9 seconds, creating some seriously powerful breaks. Manzanita and Rockaway Beach are throwing down the most impressive surf conditions with 7 to 10-foot waves that will definitely get your adrenaline pumping.

Today's weather is keeping things interesting - partly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around 60 to 65 degrees. Winds will be rolling in from the northwest, starting around 11 to 14 miles per hour and ramping up to 16 to 18 miles per hour as the day progresses.

But listen up, beach lovers - this isn't just about catching waves. The coast is serving some serious danger alongside its beauty. Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are lurking, ready to catch unsuspecting visitors off guard. Those seemingly innocent waves can suddenly surge way further up the beach than you'd expect.

Tide schedules are looking dynamic, with high tides ranging between 7.0 and 7.6 feet and low tides dipping as far as -0.3 feet. Sunrise kicks off around 5:30 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 9:10 PM.

For Tuesday, expect slightly mellower conditions with surf heights dropping to 5 to 8 feet and mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will cool down slightly, sitting around 60 to 65 degrees.

Bottom line: Respect the ocean, stay alert, and never turn your back on these powerful waters. Stay safe and shred responsibly!
