Long Beach Washington and Portland, OR Surf Report for 07-05-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we roll into this Fourth of July weekend, the Pacific Northwest coastline is serving up some seriously mixed marine conditions that'll keep you on your toes.

For Long Beach and the Washington coast, today's looking like a mellow surf day with modest 1 to 2 foot waves. Expect mostly cloudy skies and a cool breeze blowing from the northwest at 10 miles per hour. Your high temperature will hover around a crisp 60 degrees.

Things get more interesting tomorrow when wave heights bump up to 4 to 6 feet. Multiple swells are mixing it up - a southwest swell with long 15-second periods and a northwest swell bringing some 11-second wave action.

Heading down to Oregon's scenic coastline, Seaside and Cannon Beach are tracking similar conditions. Today's surf sits at 1 to 2 feet with mostly cloudy skies, temperatures ranging from 55 to 60 degrees. Saturday promises more excitement with 3 to 5 foot waves that'll get surfers and wave watchers stoked.

From Manzanita to Lincoln City, the story remains consistent. Modest 1 to 3 foot waves today will transform into more dynamic 3 to 5 foot swells by Saturday. Temperatures will hold steady around 60 degrees with partly cloudy conditions.

Pro tip from the coastal experts: Stay alert! Cold water, sneaker waves, and rip currents are no joke. Those surprise waves can catch even seasoned beach-goers off guard. Always keep your eyes on the ocean and respect its power.

Sunrise kicks off around 5:30 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 9 PM. Grab your wetsuit, your sense of adventure, and enjoy the coastal magic!
