During Advent this season, we're going to focus each week on one line from the classic hymn "O Holy Night." This week, the line is: Long lay the world in sin and error pining, 'Til he appeared and the soul felt its worth.

We go to Romans 1:16-25, which describes the world apart from Christ and the plight of all peoples, until we see the hope of Christ who was delivered up for our sins.
