The Nectar-filled Vase of Immortality
--------------------------------------
Those who uphold the teachings of the Teacher Śākyamuni,
Of great Vajradhara, and of Padmasambhava,
Who keeps all the Conquerors’ secrets—may their lives be long,
And may they illumine Buddha’s deeds like the sun and moon.
The one who showers a great rain of love on beings in faraway lands,
And sustains them with the nectar of Buddha’s teaching
Through countless fortunate eons, the great being
Known as Alan Wallace—may his life be long.
In Jambudvipa in general, and especially in the West,
You illumine the Conqueror’s teaching like the sun and moon;
O Master, may your lifespan and deeds be extensive,
And may you guide all beings on the path to liberation.

The great person who kindles the lamp of the Conqueror’s teaching in many parts of the West and especially America, Alan Wallace, and this respectful woman have been acquainted for many years. This is good, and as many of his disciples have recently urged [me], “please write a long-life prayer for him,” [I,] the Sakya Lady Jamyang Pelmo, [composed] this purposeful utterance with a clear and joyous mind, with Tulku Yeshe as scribe, on the auspicious 27th day of the 2nd month of the Western Year 2015.
