The Israelites wanted a king. It was not what God wanted, but it is what they asked for.

They knew the will of God – they just didn’t like the will of God.

They wanted to be like everyone else and have a king. God gave them Saul. They got their king and lost their power.

Are we praying right?

Are we praying for the will of God, regardless of the cost, and searching for that will as we pray?

Or are we asking God for kings when God has clearly told us no?
