Unlike any Christ-less worldview or society that hopes for future utopia, Christians have the sure promise, which is sealed by the Holy Spirit, that we will dwell with Christ in the New Heavens and New Earth. This future reality should inform our current lives and outlooks. We are meant to long for that which is truly real and anticipate with joy the day when those promises are received.
