The Apostle Peter didn’t have long to live, and he knew it. He had some last words to give the church before he died. Peter encouraged followers of Jesus to keep living the kingdom life. That life isn’t always easy. Peter challenged believers to do the hard work of growing to be like Jesus. He called out false teachers and called on the church to stand for truth. He also explained that Christ followers should look forward to his return, but to balance anticipation with patience. Peter’s words very much apply to the church today.
