Look deep to find beauty,
catch a lovely view
in the bed of a tulip, cupping sweet morning dew.
Explore some dark caverns, see what time has accrued,
stalactites lit by flashlights, stunning sculptures for you.
See it beam from the eyes, of all the children who've gazed
at worlds filled with innocence, till they're finally betrayed.
Watch it bursts from cracked eggshells in soft fuzzy yellow,
Hear it echo from bass croaks of bullfrogs that bellow.
Catch it leaping from ponds, in sun bright, rainbow shimmers,
Trout snatching up dragonflies, making them a fine dinner.
It's the mourning dove's sighs, wailing soft as we rise
it's the honking of geese as they flee wintry skies.
Just everyday normal things that we all tend to miss,
as we rush to meet schedules, past a world full of bliss.
One should slow down and study each of God's lovely views,
make a woods your cathedral, find a log for a pew.
Then listen to choirs, as birds melodies fly,
near a Jack-In-The-Pulpit, while squirrels scamper by.
Take an hour each day, letting nature infuse,
all the wonders it holds, a sure cure for your blues
