Just as Moses lifted up the bronze serpent in the wilderness so that the people might look and be healed, Jesus declared that the Son of Man must be lifted up, that all who believe in Him may have eternal life. In these verses, we hear the heart of the gospel: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The light of Christ has come into the world, offering salvation, yet calling us to step out of darkness and into His truth. To look to Jesus is to trust Him fully, to receive His love, and to live in the freedom He gives.
