Look…but Listen!

Mt. 17: 1-13

◊ Look up the mountain, but listen for God (v. 1, and see Ex. 19:1-5)

◊ Look at the glory (v. 2), but listen to the Law and prophets (v.3)

◊ Look at the experience (v. 4), but listen to Jesus (v. 5)

◊ Look with awed fear (v. 6), but listen for comfort (vv. 7-8)

◊ Look as a witness (v. 9a), but listen as a sharer (v. 9b)

◊ Look for God’s timeline (v. 10), but listen to God’s announcements (vv. 11-13)
