This week we talk with two authors and Veterans of the War in Afghanistan.

Staff Sergeant Travis Harman, U.S. Army Pennsylvania National Guard (medically retired), writes about going to war with his father. Travis was in Afghanistan while his dad, Dean, was in Iraq. Travis explains to host Jim Fausone the life at Outpost Nigel and discusses his book “Remote Outpost: Fighting with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan.”

Staff Sergeant Mikael Cook, U.S. Army (ret.) writes about the fall of Afghanistan and the Operation to Save our Afghan allies in “Life and Death at Abbey Gate: The Fall of Afghanistan and the Operation to Save our Allies.” He tells host Jim Fausone about the failure of American policy and the ‘Digital Dunkirk’ efforts of many to try to get a few more Afghan allies and families out.
