Genesis 19:26 states, “But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” This verse contains a powerful warning. Jesus Himself emphasized its importance with the words, “Remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32). Her tragic end stands as a testimony to the spiritual peril of disobedience, divided loyalty, and failing to leave sin behind. In this passage, we find lessons both for those awakening to the need for salvation and for those in danger of falling away.
