Sports fans are always trying to decide who is the GOAT (greatest of all time). Is Tom Brady the greatest quarterback? Is Lebron James the greatest basketball player (hint: no). Jesus said that among human beings there was no one greater than one man of God. He wasn't talking about Abraham, Moses, David, or any of the prophets. According to the Lord, the GOAT was none other than John the Baptist (see Matthew 11:11). Rather than being a bit player in the Lord's saga, John was an essential ingredient in the Father's plan.
