Now, on to our episode! You’ve probably heard that data is the new oil. But did you know that understanding what data to gather… and how to use that data... is also creating lots of opportunities? We’re talking not only opportunities for those seeking jobs or starting a business, but also for those who already have a job or a business… or might even be looking for a good investment.
My guest today, futurist and data analysis expert, Ben Talin, speaks about those topics and much more on this episode.
Listen as Ben elaborates on such things as (1) what are some of the key trends involving the use of data over the past couple of decades, (2) what challenges businesses typically face in making sense of the data they gather, (3) how data is viewed or used differently in various parts of the world, and (4) how data might be used in the future, including in what Ben calls "the fourth world."
More importantly, Ben points out where the opportunities lie with data analysis. Interestingly, these apply as much if not more to those who already have jobs or own businesses, than those seeking jobs or businesses! Beyond that, Ben provides some great tips for either of those groups on how to seize these opportunities. This includes a trove of FREE resources his company offers.

Looking Forward® is THE podcast about the OPPORTUNITIES created by global trends, now and into the future, and how YOU might capitalize on those: Think... jobs, careers, business start-ups, entrepreneurial ventures, freelancing, investments, and life enrichment.
Hi everyone!
Did you know the future is ripe with opportunities for those who understand both the big and lesser-known global trends? And who’s more credible in telling us that than futurist, Chet Sisk? In this first of two episodes, Chet begins to lay out where he sees opportunities, plus the why and how of that. He’ll do more of this in Part 2.
In Part 1, Chet speaks about (1) what futurists do, and how it's applied by those who hire them, (2) the role that "change" plays, and how we must embrace it to see the possibilities around and ahead of us, (3) some of the important global trends taking place in our world, and (4) one HUGE global opportunity he says is not only here today, but will be here for a long time to come. Chet also shares what he calls "the one key" to succeeding in the new world we live in, whether you are a child or someone who's in the working world today.
Now a bit about Chet. Renowned futurist Chet W. Sisk dedicates the majority of his time to meticulously analyzing the latest trends through a comprehensive approach that involves data scrutiny, engaging conversations, and keen observation.

His illustrious career includes delivering keynotes at prestigious venues such as the United Nations, conducting workshops for Fortune 500 companies, and penning several insightful books on personal and corporate transformation.
As a seasoned world traveler, former CEO of a local advertising agency, and prolific author of six books, Chet brings a wealth of personal experience, humor, and captivating stories from his extensive travels to his keynotes and workshops. His presentations not only feature definitive predictions on the unfolding events in the coming years but also emphasize the underlying reasons behind these developments. Chet ensures that his audience is not only aware of the challenges but is also well-versed in the numerous opportunities and possibilities that this moment presents.
Beyond his impactful work in the private sector, Chet is the founder of Universal Basic Resources, a leading change management company. He's also the founder of Co-Lead of International, a non-profit think tank focused on change leadership. Chet extends his influence to the legislative realm, consulting the Colorado State Legislature on a groundbreaking State bill addressing the artificial intelligence wave. In a formal working partnership with tech giants NVIDIA and Arrow Intelligent Solutions, Chet gains valuable insights and ideas related to artificial intelligence.

True to our focus here on Looking Forward®, Bill lays out a boatload of opportunities for those interested in being part of the start-up world. Many of these involve positions or roles that go well beyond the company founder or visionary, too. Finally, Bill takes a look at how the rest of this decade looks for startup opportunities, and he provides numerous tips for those interested in this field of endeavor.
