This is the second conversation with one of the Corresponding Members of the Academy, following an earlier one with Dr Dov Zakheim. This time Dr Tomas Ries in discussion with Michael Sahlin and Lars-Erik Lundin looks back at his forecast published in 2010 for the world in 2030, focussing on a number of themes, including trends towards more power politics (leading up to the War in Ukraine) and challenged global flow security in a broad sense, all key themes in Academy work. Other keywords include security strategies, the link between global and regional developments and the need for global governance as well as the importance of transatlantic cooperation.
