Welcome to The Legend of Retro Theater! Join Chops, Craig_WK, Glitch, and Xander (as well as other all-stars from the community) as they present to you the story of The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. In the magical land of Hyrule, calamity has befallen the land. A mysterious wizard has been performing strange rituals in the castle tower, and rumors circulate that he’s even deposed the good king of Hyrule. After a young man named Link hears the telepathic summons of Princess Zelda, it’s up to him to rescue her, and obtain the blade of evil’s bane so that he can banish the darkness of the land! We hope you enjoy our dramatic retelling of a video game legend!

It’s the return of the Legend of Retro. The boys are back. LPJ, Hovercraft Joe, and Jody get funky with the most unique game released in the 16 bit era. They’ll dig into the happenstance beginnings, miraculous development, and incredible soundtrack that made this a cult classic masterpiece.   Then, Retro Relapse takes us back into the arcade with, perhaps, the largest beat-em-up cabinet of all-time. Finally, a new season means a new music bracket. And this one is out of this world. Game On!

Let’s take a trip to the past with some of your favorite retro game podcast hosts, as Chops and Craig_WK jump into the Epoch and take a trip to 1995! They look into the history of the game, the brilliant collaboration of the dream team of Japanese style role playing games, as well as the amazing music. That description might be bland, but we can always re-do it with a New Game Plus! To finish off the episode, the dynamic duo talk about a Retro Relapse that was too hot to handle in a previous episode. We hope you enjoy hearing about the greatest JRPG of all time!

LoR: Chrono Trigger

One day, quite by accident, a gate to The Legend of Retro was opened by a gang of podcasters skilled in the black arts. This land was like no other. In the gathering twilight, the episode shone from its resting place high above the world. In a long running battle, the leader of the podcasters fought his way past his followers Xander and The Glitch in lust for the episode on Link to the Past. After vanquishing his own followers, the leader stood triumphant over the episode and grasped it with his blood-stained hands. He heard a whispered voice: “If thou hast a strong desire or dream, wish for it…” And in reply, the roaring laughter of the host echoed across time and space and even reached the far-off listeners. The name of this king of podcasters is Craig_WK, but he is known by his alias Mandrag Craig, which means Craig of the Legend of Retro.
