White era noto per il suo tempo con New Japan Pro Wrestling , World Championship Wrestling , World Wrestling Federation e All Japan Pro Wrestling negli anni '90.  Un wrestler supermassimo capace di manovre aeree significative e mosse potenti, è stato sia un volto che un tallone in diverse promozioni di wrestling professionistico. È un tredici volte campione del mondo, avendo vinto tre volte il WCW World Heavyweight Championship , il CWA World Heavyweight Championship (3 volte), l' UWA World Heavyweight Championship (1 volta).
