Today’s prayer is based on Psalm 20.

I’m writing this as I’m looking for work or the very least income of some kind.

I recently closed my bookstore after two years of business. The First year was slow but steady and sales remained strong. After the first year sales tanked.

Two major employers in the area moved locations and the city moved several of its office locations at the same time. Foot traffic dropped over night and the buildings have sat empty ever since.

This left seven empty buildings on my block alone. Regular customers didn’t like coming downtown anymore because the neighborhood looks abandoned. And I don’t really blame them.

I really thought i was doing what God wanted me to do. And to have it all end like this was not what I had in mind when everything started to come together.

I now find myself waiting for God’s plan to come about. So I ask for personal victory and a desire to be placed in my heart. I ask to understand his will and way.
