A slight pause to let the readers catch their breath â

This is probably the "slowest" book of the series in terms of action. However, the character development is fascinating, and the suspense nearly as great as in the other books.

This is the third book in a series of 4. I have read most of the books written by Lian Hearn and find her writing to be excellant. Her knowledge of the Japanese culture is very elaborate and her writings reflect it. I am currently read the 4th book and will be very sad when I am finished.
