Lord, Teach Us to Pray: A Sermon on the Lord's Prayer
This episode is a sermon on the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) that was preached by Jackson Hankey on November 10th, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church in Park River, ND.
The Lord's Prayer is perhaps the most well known and most repeated passage in the entire Bible. Yet, it seems that very few of us have really understood it and taken it to heart. Many of us, in spite of it's familiarity, have been entirely unaffected by it's meaning, especially in our own prayer lives.
Yet, the Lord's Prayer in reality is a glorious manifesto of the heart of Biblical Prayer. At the same time, it is both wonderfully profound and remarkably simple. Surely, we would do well to learn about prayer from the Master himself, the Lord Jesus Christ. Nowhere else in the Bible do we find the command to "Pray then like this."
