Hallowed Be Your Name (Mt 6:1-9).  The second phrase of the example prayer that Jesus gave His disciples is "Hallowed be your name." These words contain rich implications of the holiness of the name of God. The Jewish faithful held God's name so sacred that they didn't even speak it aloud or write it in a form that could be spoken (no vowels). Psalms 34 gives us an example of the idea of holding God in highest regard.
