Do you know what an “oxymoron” is? It’s when you say something that’s contradictory. Like, “Momma, this apple pie is ‘awful good.’” Now, here in the south, we know that you mean that your mom’s pie is excellent! Yet, the term “awful good” is an oxymoron. Jesus often spoke in this way. He said that if you wanted to have life, you had to be willing to lose your life. Join us as we see what He meant when He offered that oxymoron.
