As I share my lived experience, my intent is to dig deep into the concept of hurt people, hurting people. Those who have experienced trauma have a tendency to adopt a negative self-image that is in direct conflict with self esteem. Not because that is their intention, but because they themselves have been hurt deeply. I believe that whatever happens to you, happens for you. Even when it seems unfathomable to find the gift in the pain.
