We come this morning to our eighth message is this series teaching us to look with open eyes at the hard truth that yes that first God does want our attention. Second He will go to great lengths to get it, allowing things into our lives that many in this world in which we live will be unwilling to admit that God had anything to do with these things taking place in our lives. And as we will examine today allowing things to be taken out of our lives. The reason most people refuse to acknowledge that God has any part to play in these things is because that would not go along the image of the God they have built in their mind. God says humble yourselves before Him, for He is the one true God the only God and it is His ways which are greater than your ways. This is that which is right in His eyes is right no matter how it conforms to the false image you have built within your mind. Listen for Him as He is calling on us to all admit to Him our faults and short comings. This however is a very difficult pill to swallow. So many a man chooses to live under a lie of self-justification, and never face the truth in their own lives. So as we examine God allow the loss of possessions out of our lives lets also look to God desiring that our attention be on Him. Not the things that bring us pleasure in this world.--So then what will be of your possessions- How and where do your hold your possessions- This is a deep subject and there are many options here and we will not cover it all here today either- When we learn to look with eyes wide open in God wonderful way then and only then will the things of this world grow dim as God ways out shine the ways of the world.
