In the Old Testament, Israel was responsible for preserving the word of God. They were supposed to take special measures to protect and keep it. However, by the time of Josiah, the word had already been lost. Today, we need to preserve God's word in our own lives. We need to cherish it and allow it to dwell in us. 2 Kings 22:1-23:3.
