There are so many of us who only know half or none of our birth stories. Some of us were adopted. Some of us had a parent leave when we were so young that we barely remember them. Some of us were even unknowingly kidnapped by a custodial parent unable to be located. I am the latter. I was led to believe my father didn't want me, which of course led to "daddy issues."
