Lost in Translation follows Bob Harris, a fading American movie star in Tokyo to shoot a whiskey commercial, and Charlotte, a young college graduate accompanying her emotionally distant photographer husband. Both are strangers in a foreign city and in their own lives, drifting through sleepless nights, quiet bars, and neon-lit streets. When they meet, an unexpected bond forms — built not on romance in the traditional sense, but on shared loneliness, curiosity, and moments of fleeting connection. As their time together unfolds, the film becomes a meditation on isolation, intimacy, and the brief encounters that can alter how we see ourselves, even if they’re never meant to last.
