For many of us, the Bible is more familiar than any other book, yet we tend to read Scripture through the lens of our own experience and in a way that makes sense on our terms. When that happens, our cultural and historical context sometimes create bad habits and lead us to read the Bible differently than it was originally intended or in a very different way than Christians in other cultures do. When that happens, we are in danger of communicating something that wasn’t what the author, or God even intended. Join us this series as we look at some very familiar passages of Scripture and make sure that we aren't misusing, misquoting or losing something in the translation!
